Seal the crack

Crack sealing (or filling, on consumer labels) is for openings that still have two solid edges and pavement that feels firm underfoot:

Linear splits from age or a cold winter, not a mesh that moves when you bounce on it
Joints at the garage apron or along a concrete walk that have opened but not crumbled
